Rebecca Schubel

Ms. Schubel is a graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Music degree.  She has been teaching Strings (elementary through high school) in the Charleston County Public Schools since 1991.  She has been teaching at Fort Johnson Middle and James Island Middle since 1997.  Her 7th and 8th grade orchestra recently earned a “Superior” rating at the SCMEA Concert Festival held at Myrtle Beach.  Ms. Schubel was a previous conductor of the Charleston County Honors Orchestra for fourteen years.  She is certified in the Suzuki method of teaching.  As well as teaching, she is a professional violinist who performs frequently as a soloist, with a duo, or an ensemble for weddings, receptions, churches and corporate events.  Ms. Schubel is a member of the South Carolina Music Educators Association.
